GreenStar Homes was created by Bonnie Petersen after spending 12 years in the building industry.

For many years Bonnie, like many builders, built homes to meet code requirements, but she soon realized she could better. In 2007, she built her first geothermal home at the request of a home buyer. This is when she began researching energy efficient homes and the ENERGY STAR certification requirements, and has not looked back since.

Now, 100% of GreenStar Homes are ENERGY STAR certified.

GreenStar is a member of the Housing and Building Association of Northwestern Colorado, Grand Junction Chamber of Commerce, Better Energy Advocates and an ENERGY STAR Partner.
